To define the visibility of the edges, you can apply an Edit Mesh modifier to the object, change to the Edge sub-object level and use the Surface Properties tools. <br />
 Be aware that ColorEdge may slow down if you apply it to a very complex geometry. Although we use some caches and buffers to speed up the calculations, the plugin must compare each texture point with all the edges and faces.<br />
 <b>Installation</b><br />

 Copy the file ColorEdge.dlt from the appropriate &quot;plugin&quot; folder (we provide files for all versions of 3D Studio from 3.x to 8.x) to any plugin directory of Max or Viz.<br />
 <b>Using the plugin</b><br />

 This plugin is a procedural texture, apply it on any material plugin: <br />

<b>Color Near Edge / Color Far Edge</b><br />
 The colors are applied to the points near or far from the visible edges.<br />

 Defines the distances from the edge to build a gradient with the supplied colors. d0: offset, d1: ramp up, d2: width, d3: ramp down.<br />
 <b>Noise</b><br />
 Add noise effects using the same parameters as the Max texture plugins. See 3D Studio's reference for more help (such as Gradient Map and others)<br />

With the release of finalRender Stage-1 R3.0,  finalShaders is no longer separately available for R3.0. Instead all of  the finalShaders materials are now available as part of finalRender  Stage-1 R3.0 SE, in addition we have moved some of the finalShaders  materials into the standard edition as well. The materials moved to the  core product are;<br />
fR-Wire: This has been a long time wish of  many users; R3.0 now lets you render your objects as if you had applied a  Lattice modifier to your object, but without the overhead of additional  geometry.<br />

The  NVIDIA PhysX plug-ins for Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk  Softimage allow users of these DCC applications to easily create and  manipulate physics simulations.<br />

Puppetshop is a Rigging and Animation plugin for 3dsmax 8 (or higher). <br />
It offers a unique blend of easy to use animator tools, while keeping  the 'backdoor' open for technical directors. <br />
Rig unlimited number of Spines, Arms, Legs, Necks, Custom Bone Chains in  no time. <br />
All creatures, human (biped) or otherwise are handled the exact same way  and Puppetshop is tightly integrated into 3dsmax.<br />

With Puppetshop you can store any number of animation clips in a single  max file and switch seamlessly between them. <br />
<br />
Import and edit Motion Capture data (BVH), including Biped compatible  BVH clips. And manage all your assest via the build-in Library System. <br />
<br />
Copy and Mirror animation data between bodyparts While an optimized  trackview shows only the controllers animators care to see. <br />
<br />
Unique 'TD Mode' allows the technical director complete access to change  ANYTHING in the rig Puppetshop removes a lot of the technical  headaches from the rigging process. It can save you countless hours by  not having to rig the same types of skeletons over and over by hand. <br />
<br />
Game animators can preview animation blends before wasting programmer  time to implement it in-game by using the Clip Editor. <br />
<br />
Tweak animations by using layered animation or use a single ‘Time Curve’  to tweak the timing of your animation with a single bezier curve.<br />
 <br />
Animators cannot break rigs (i.e. un-linking, overwritting controllers  or deleting parts of the rig) as Puppetshop protects the rigs from  common made mistakes. However Technical Directors can alter rigs when  needed. <br />
<br />
Puppetshop has been succesfully exported to engines such as Unreal3 and  Granny by either integrating Puppetshop’s export functions directly into  your in-house exporters or by using the build in ‘Export to Max Bones’  functionality. <br />
